A Smash Hit In London’s Saatchi Gallery

In an industry already saturated with events, it’s probably fair to say that the idea of yet another diary date is largely unwelcome among the superyachting crowd. Superyacht Gallery though, which launched today at London’s Saatchi Gallery, is worthy of the warmest of welcomes. Ditching the ubiquitous ‘booth’ culture that surrounds the industry, Merijn De Waard and Marijn Smit were committed to creating something much more deserving of its discerning audience.

Superyacht Gallery introduces new form of yachting event

The first Superyacht Gallery, held at the Saatchi Gallery in London from June 1-3, highlighted a new style of event to promote the superyacht market in a relaxed gallery.

Well attended on all three days, the Superyacht Gallery concept was put together by Marijn Smit, an executive with strong superyacht sector links, and Merijn de Waard, CEO of the Superyacht Company.
